We would like to invite your child to participate in OHI Intramural Racket Sports every Tuesday and Friday (when school is in session) starting January 16th through March 19th from 3:45 until 4:45.
Description:
OHI Racket Sports Intramurals is a FREE, after-school, co-ed program designed to develop movement skills, health-related fitness, and personal and social responsibility all while participating with students within the same school. We will be learning how to play Pickleball, Badminton, and Ping Pong.
Goals:
Participate in Pickleball, Badminton, and Ping Pong in a safe and structured environment.
Set goals, make commitments, strive for personal bests, and follow through with responsibilities.
Most importantly, enjoy the sport rather than the pressure to compete and win.
Important Information:
Dates: January 16 - March 19 (Tuesdays and Fridays only)
Time: 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm.
Participants will meet in the cafeteria, where attendance will be taken.
Participants will have 5 minutes to change (if necessary). Students should wear athletic shoes (no boots, flip-flops, heels, etc.).
Participants must be willing to learn the rules and fundamentals of Racket Sports.
Participants must be willing to apply the skills learned to match play and tournament-style play.
Participants will be dismissed via "walker" or "parent pick up." There is NO other school program bussing at this time.
Parent pick up will be at the front of the school.
Participants are allowed to be picked up ONLY by the person listed on the Permission Form unless a parent note is provided.
It is important that you pick up your child promptly at 4:45 pm. Late pick-ups will exclude your child from the program.
ALL paperwork must be completed and turned into the ASB office before participation.

Exclusion from the Program:
Three NO SHOWS: Participants may be excluded after three NO SHOWS unless accompanied by a teacher note, for example, after-school tutorials, or a parent note, for example, an absence from school.
Three late parent pick-ups: "Parent pick-up" participants must be picked up promptly at 4:45 PM at the front of the school.
Three late arrivals: Late arrivals may be sent to the front office to call home unless accompanied by a teacher note, for example, after-school tutorials.
Three timed sit-outs for misbehavior: Participants will be asked to sit out when they are not following the 3-R's: Respectful, Responsible, and Ready. Safety is a priority.
1 Practice Abandonment: Participants who roam around campus or leave campus and return after attendance has been taken will NOT be allowed to participate and will be sent to the front office to call home. This is an automatic exclusion from the program
