OHl Book Club

Meeting Schedule: Once a month, starting on Wednesday, October 4th, and concluding on Wednesday, June 1st, 2024.

Meeting Venue: Ms. Rogers' classroom, P6.

Meeting Time: 3:45 PM to 4:45 PM.

Goals:

The OHl Book Club will gather once a month to discuss a book we have collectively chosen to read. During these meetings, we will also decide on the book for the following month's discussion. Participants are expected to complete the assigned book before the book club meeting (except for the first meeting) to facilitate a meaningful discussion.

Exclusion from the Program:

Participants may face exclusion from the OHl Book Club based on the following criteria:

1. Three NO SHOWS: Participants may be excluded after three instances of not attending without a valid reason, unless accompanied by a teacher note (e.g., after-school tutorials) or a parent note (e.g., an absence from school).

2. Three Timed Sit-Outs for Misbehavior: Participants will be asked to sit out if they are not adhering to the 3-R's (Respectful, Responsible, and Ready), as safety is a priority.

3. 1 Meeting Abandonment: Participants who leave the campus or wander around during the meeting and return after attendance has been taken will NOT be allowed to participate and will be directed to the front office to contact their parents. This results in an automatic exclusion from the program.
