A group of people, including a young girl, stand together holding a heart-shaped sign that says 'LUNA' in white letters.
Olympic View Elementary celebrated Luna's 6th Heart Day anniversary. Luna was born with a heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) which means the left side of her heart was small. She had one open heart surgery at 6 days old and then a heat transplant at 8 months old. Now at 6 years old she is living life to the fullest - running and playing with her friends and making everyone's day brighter with her beautiful smile! All thanks to her organ donor!

Over the past four weeks, students in Ms. Penley's fourth-grade class at Broad View Elementary worked on a project to design a castle. They studied the reasons why castles were built during the Middle Ages and learned about their structures. Each student designed and constructed a model of a castle and presented their research using Google Slides to the class. Way to go, Explorers!
