OHI Flag Team

Flag Team is a volunteer student activity at Oak Harbor lntermediate school open to all students in grades five and six' students learn the skills of manipulating a performance flag in preparation of performing for several public events in and around Oak Harbor. Students will also learn a simple routine to start and throughout the course of the year will add on more challenging elements. There are only twenty-five to twenty-eight (25-28) spots available. 

This is a commitment for the year. You will not be able to rejoin the Flag Team if you drop out for another activity which is held on Wednesdays after school.

Flag Team Leaders/Advisors/supervisors/lnstructors: Ms. Bishop, Mrs. Eichorn, Mrs .Adams

Communication: Communication will be mainly through emails with some paper information sent home with students.

Practices: Wednesdays from 3:40-4:40 from January - June at Oak Harbor lntermediate school. Students may bring 
a peanut/ nut free snack to have before practice. A water bottle is suggested.

Selection lnformation:
1. Demonstrate commitment to team by:
a. Perform skills
b. Accept feedback positively
c. Attend all practices unless sick or having a scheduled appointment
d. Wear appropriate PE shoes and clothing on practice days
e. Maintain a Positive attitude
f. Work as a member of the team
g. Listen to and respond swiftly to directions
h. Use the flags in a safe and respectful manner
i. Understand that learning the moves is hard work and will take time
