Board Games Club
Description:
The Board Game Club will be meeting on Wednesdays beginning on October 14th through March 31st. The meetings will take place in Ms Swan’s room 12C from 3:45 to 4:35.
Goals:
During this time, students will be able to play a variety of board games from classics like chess, Uno and Sorry to newer games hitting the market. Each session Ms Swan will introduce a new game to any members interested in learning a new game! Students are encouraged (with parent permission) to bring games from home to teach others as well. We will NOT be playing online games. We may occasionally access YouTube for board game tutorials.
Exclusion from the Program:
-Three NO SHOWS. Participants may be excluded after 3 NO SHOWS unless accompanied with a teacher note, example; after school tutorials, or a parent note, example; absence from school.
-Three late parent pick-ups. “Parent pick up” participants must be picked up promptly at 4:35pm, at the front of the school.
-Three timed-sit-outs for misbehavior. Participants will be asked to sit out when he/she is not following the 3-R’s, Respectful, Responsible, and Ready, safety is a priority.
-1 Meeting Abandonment. Participants who roam around campus or leave campus and return after attendance has been taken will NOT be allowed to participate and will be sent down to the front office to call home, this is an automatic exclusion from the program.
